The Sunflowers class is an opportunity for parents and young children to participate in an early childhood program, offering a glimpse into the world of the Waldorf kindergarten. Age-appropriate experiential and sensory activities are offered in a home-like setting and outdoors in nature. The rhythm of the kindergarten—free play, snack, circle time, songs, and outdoor time—reflect both the daily and seasonal changes surrounding us. In addition, handwork activities for the parents is provided. As adults are seen engaged in work through snack preparation, clean up, and handwork, the children have much to observe and imitate.

This program is held in Karen Lonsky's Waldorf kindergarten room and on the surrounding land with its wonderful fields, woods, paths, and playground.
