Teacher • Grade 6-7
Mrs. Beth Myers has spent over twenty years working with teachers and children, finding her connection to teaching and learning by seeing children for who they are and gently nurturing them to reach their full potential. She was delighted to join the Ithaca Waldorf family in 2011. Working with children warms her soul, and being part of IWS is a precious gift that she feels fortunate to experience every day. She has a deep belief in teaching and nurturing the whole child to form a happy, healthy, creative person who loves learning.
Mrs. Myers has a BS in elementary education with minors in math, science, integrated creative arts, and early childhood education. She also has a MA in educational leadership. She has attended teacher training at Sunbridge Institute and is currently attending Alkion Center. She considers herself very fortunate to have found a home in Waldorf education, which is truly the most rewarding teaching opportunity that she has experienced.
In her spare time, Mrs. Myers is happy being outside, among the flowers and trees. She has a deep love for animals. She also has a passion for creating beautiful things by working with metal and stained glass, and she can often be found working with copper.
