Delvin Wilhelm Collier was born in El Paso, TX, but grew up in Bremen, Germany. Delvin attended Waldorf school from 4th to 10th grade. After graduating from high school, he majored in philosophy and sociology at the University of Bremen, Germany and during my undergraduate studies, he focused mainly on German Idealism and the Frankfurt School. He created a link between the philosophical and the practical by focusing his masters thesis on social human rights.
In 2012, he gained his first professional experience at a tech start-up company in Berlin as customer service manager. In 2015 he longed to experience the other half of his dual-citizenship and dual-identity, so he moved permanently to New York where worked at social media companies, moderating inappropriate content, managing trust and safety, and overseeing the German user community. In the summer 2018 Delvin moved with his new family to Ithaca and was hired as the Administrative Assistant in November. He focuses on marketing, social media, cyber-security, and office operations in general.
Delvin lives with his Partner Emily Preston and two girls on East Hill in Ithaca and is pursuing a Eurythmy part-time training at Threefold Educational Center in Spring Valley, NY.
