Grades Hallowe’en Celebration
On Friday October 27th, grades children are invited to bring costumes to school with the following guidelines: nothing scary/bloody; no film or tv characters; no full face masks; and no vampire teeth please. We want to respect the younger children’s lower tolerance for spooky.
The children will participate in a costume parade, as well as Hallowe’en songs and games outside between 1:30 and 3 pm.
Skating at Cass Park Begins Monday October 30th
Every year IWS joins other Ithaca area schools for the After-School Ice Skating Program at Cass Park. You may pick up a registration form in the lobby. Please return them to Arabez in the office as soon as possible. You may simply join for the free skate, or sign up your child for weekly lessons.
And an announcement from the CHES Skating Club:
Hello Skating Families,
The CHES Skating Club is going on its 9th season! This would never have happened without the Cass Park Skating Rink.
You may know the rink has an ongoing campaign for facility improvements and this provides a really fun opportunity to host a Ches Skating Club Alumni Event.
The Enclose Cass Extravaganza Skate-A-Thon is on Saturday November 4 from 2:15-5:00.
My kids participated last time and it really fun for them to count their laps and get me to sponsor them. (It is not expected that they will collect other sponsors than yourself, but they certainly can).
