Week 5 - The Farm Summer Program - "Harvesting and Preserving on The Farm"

For grade students, rising 2nd grader up to rising 6th graders.

Campers will be able to appreciate Aesop’s story, “The Ant and the Grasshopper” by exploring harvesting, processing, and winter food storage methods. 

Each week campers will be involved in caring for the farm animals at IWS, tending the garden beds, and general farming activities. Campers will also have ample outdoor play, and opportunities for art and crafting, games, and guided themed activities depending on the week's theme. The Farm Camp at Ithaca Waldorf School will be led by Chad Cully, our Farm & Land Stewardship Teacher, and Melanie Ryan, one of our lead grades teachers.

Snack is provided. Students need to bring water bottle, adequate clothing for the outdoors, sun protection, sun hat, and lunch.
