School Cleaner

Beginning: September 2, 2025 – or until filled
Hourly Wage: $19–$23/hour, based on experience
Part-time: Approximately 10 hours/week during the academic year (fewer hours in summer)

The Ithaca Waldorf School is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented School Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This position begins September 2, 2025, and runs through June 30, 2026, with fewer hours during the summer months.

The cleaner will be responsible for cleaning classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and common spaces, as well as restocking supplies and supporting special event setup and cleanup. Work hours are flexible but will primarily take place in the late afternoon or early evening after the school day.

Ideal candidates

  • Have professional cleaning experience, preferably in a school or similar setting

  • Take pride in creating a clean and orderly environment

  • Can follow established cleaning and safety protocols

  • Work efficiently, independently, and with attention to detail

  • Are reliable, punctual, and respectful in a school community setting
