Doll Making Workshop with Ms Karen Lonsky
Karen Lonsky will be teaching a doll making workshop at IWS on March 2nd from 10am to 2pm. All materials will be provided to make a 10" bunting doll, a perfect sleep friend for a young child. The cost of the workshop is $65 and the class will be limited to 10 people.

Karen Lonsky - began her Waldorf career as a Kindergarten assistant at the Waldorf School of the Finger Lakes in the 1980's and went on to get her Waldorf Early Childhood training at Sunbridge College in Spring Valley New York. She was a Lead Kindergarten teacher in Ithaca for many years as well as a Parent and Child teacher and served as Faculty Chair for several years at IWS. Since retiring from IWS in 2020 she has run a home program just up the road - Joyful Day Preschool , and has served families and children from ages 2 to 6. Besides teaching Karen and her husband have performed in their band ,The Destination, for many years in the Ithaca area. She sings and plays saxophone and also had a book published by the Waldorf Early Childhood Association entitled A Day Full of Song - work songs in the mood of the 5th for Waldorf Kindergartens. In her free time Karen loves sewing and handwork and has a love for making dolls and toys for the children in her care and for others.
