Seedlings group for babies: age 3 months to beginning walkers. We will meet from 11 :15am-12:15pm on Thursdays (see other listing for our Tuesday class).
Our Seedlings program offers families with babies an opportunity to come together in a beautiful, nurturing, small group setting to find community. We strive to create a calm and quiet space for the children to play and explore freely while being gently guided in their first group experiences and social interactions by our experienced Waldorf Early Childhood teacher Karen Lonsky.
Our classroom offers a safe community for parents or caregivers to meet new friends, and share parenting questions while learning about Waldorf Education and practicing loving observation of their little ones. Caregivers will be able to relax, slow down and observe the wonder of their child’s development in our warm and nurturing environment. Throughout the weekly sessions we will have time to discuss the benefits of building a family rhythm, imaginative play and free movement, what kinds of toys are appropriate for the young child, the importance of warmth, family meals, children in nature, how to practice loving discipline and finding joy in our daily work.
Each session will also include learning a simple finger play or two as well as a seasonal song or lullaby to sing with your child, and a simple craft to compliment the season and add warmth to your home.
